[Small-Appliance-Cooking] need idea for new toaster oven

Avoid this talking toaster oven like the plague.  Like the talking
microwave that BlindMiceMart also sells, it is an overpriced ripoff at
$339.  Just because it talks does not mean that it is easy to use.  I
read the instructions for this model, and making a slice of toast
involves setting the temperature and timer with a series of keystrokes,
which is more complicated than simply twisting a mechanical timer knob.
The Black & Decker model I mentioned in my previous message is much
easier to set and costs one tenth as much.  But here's the dirty little
secret that the crooks at BlindMiceMart won't tell you about their
precious talking toaster oven.  It uses the same quartz heating rods as
the cheapest models. In my experience, these rods only last about three
or four years before they burn out or otherwise fail, well after the
warranty has expired.  So spending $339 for a toaster oven that might
only last a few years doesn't make a lot of sense.  But some blind
consumers are under the illusion that just because merchants like
BlindMiceMart sell talking appliances, they really "care" about
accessiblility, and they go the extra mile to ensure that they are well
designed.  But in reality, all they care about is the bottom line.
