[Sportsandrec] to ashley good idea

Rania,

From what I've found out, few blind people can afford yoga
classes, as I have learned that you have to have extra money to even
enter a yoga studio. My boyfriend, Robin and i have learned about the
spiritual content of yoga, we can feel it when we are unable to
practice, such as has been the case, due to the Holidays.
The LightHouse here in San Francisco gives scholarships so we can
attend. Without that we would be financially unable to incorporate
the benefits of yoga into our spiritual health.
Do you have vision?
Many yogis are intrigued by the way blindies practice yoga, and are
willing to build a giving and taking with a blind student, in which
they donate yoga lessons, in exchange for their own study of how we
learn, and perceive bodily movements. One needs some really great
instructors to help you build the various postures from the ground
up, all the way maintaining deep, methodic breathing, to help you
stay very present.
If nothing else, you can practice breathing, and staying firmly in
the moment on your own.
Good luck, Rania!
