POTENTIAL WRITING TOPICS

FOR COMPETITION CORNER

Here are some topics that might start the creative juices flowing. When they get going, sit down and write out your thoughts and zip them along to me at lmartinez217 at gmail.com or if you like Christella better zap them to her at christellablue at gmail.com. Either way, take some time out and write a piece. Give your opinion on a particular topic. And then, submit it for Competition Corner and help to make this newsletter the best it can be.

Topic 1:

Describe your fantasy gym. What kind of equipment would be found in your gym? What types of classes, if any, could gym-goers participate in? Who could join? How much would it cost?

Topic 2:

If you were a coach of a blind athlete, what would your perfect athlete be like? What kind of fitness program would they participate in to be the best athlete in the world? What would their diet be like? How would they improve their performance both during a coached practice and during their own personal practice? How hard would they have to work?

Topic 3:

If you could clone the perfect coach, what would they be like? What would their attitude about blindness be? What would they do to improve your performance? How could they help you achieve your goals? How best could they support your dreams?

Topic 4:

Describe your most challenging practice/race/tournament/event. What was challenging about the event? How did you deal with the pressure? What was the outcome? Did you learn anything valuable? Did this event make you a better athlete?

Topic 5:

If you could wave a magic wand and turn any food into a low-calorie, nonfat, super nutritional food, what food would you change?

Topic 6:

The perfect yoga/aerobics/spin/kick boxing instructor would describe the following 3 moves in this manner . (You choose the moves and describe.)
