USA Hockey Unveils Sled Lending Program
USA Hockey's Sled Lending Program is designed to help bring new players into the sport of sled hockey by initiating a loaner sled program for rinks and community organizations who want to conduct "Learn to Play Sled Hockey" clinics but were prevented from doing so due to the lack of sleds and sticks needed to conduct such introductory clinics.

Track & Field Resident Program Applications Now Being Accepted
The Olympic Training Center Resident Track and Field Program is a committed and focused Center of Excellence for athletes participating in the Paralympic throwing, jumping, and sprinting events. The program is housed at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
The Track and Field Resident Program combines elite and emerging elite athletes with the coaching and tools necessary to become a Paralympic Games medalist.
Applications are due by March 2, 2009.

Tyler Walker Claims X Games Gold
U.S. Paralympian Tyler Walker (Franconia, N.H.) claimed his second X Games gold in three years after winning the Mono SkierX at Winter X Games 13 in Aspen, Colo.

Athletes' Advisory Council: Declaration of Candidacy Deadline Nears
Athletes interested in declaring their candidacy for the Athletes' Advisory Council Election must do so by Sunday, February 8.
Athletes must have competed in the 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 or 2008 Paralympic Games and are required to self-nominate.

Paralympic Sport New Hampshire Hosts Winter Sports Clinic for Veterans
Paralympic Sport New Hampshire, a program of the New England Handicapped Sports Association, recently hosted a winter sports clinic for injured veterans at Mount Sunapee Ski Resort.
More than 50 participants spent two days learning to ski & snowboard and they received instruction from Paralympian Lacey Heward.

USA Shooting Seeks Paralympic Coach & Program Manager
USA Shooting is currently accepting applications for its Paralympic Coach & Program Manager position.
The person in this position will be responsible for managing and coaching the USA Shooting Paralympic Program. Primary responsibilities include evaluating, recruiting, developing, and preparing athletes to win medals in domestic and international Paralympic competitions.
Deadline to apply is February 20.
