[Sportsandrec] motivation

When I fall off the Going To The Gym Wagon, three things always seem to
motivate me sooner or later:
A. All my pants and skirts start fitting tighter or not fitting at all.
B. I go clothes shopping and ask for my size. When that doesn't fit, I
reassure myself that sizes run small in this particular store and go a
size or two bigger. When that doesn't fit, I go into the changing room
and mentally flog myself...as I try on something 3 sizes bigger.
C. I go back to visit my two tall, slim, athletic, beautiful sisters.
Nothing gets you packing your gym bag faster than noticing that you're
the short, squat one in the family. :(
What can I say? Shame and guilt-based methods work for me! :)
So, my advice is, try on some of your favorite clothes that used to fit
you last year. Then, go clothes shopping; no, wait, go swimsuit
shopping. And then go hang out with some trim, athletic jock girls.
Inspirational? No. Psychologically good for you? Probably not. But does
it work? Every time!

Hi List,
What do you do when you lack motivation to workout? Any tips, tricks,
advice to getting back into shape?
Personally, I'm just past a one year slump of not working out.
All ideas are welcomed.
