Joe, I always loved the swimming! It was one of the last sports I could
kick tail in as a low-partial before I dropped everything in high school. I
remember getting hung up on the lane ropes sometimes, hitting my head when I
tried to flip instead of touching the wall and turning anddiving in on other
people as my bad moments, but always loved the freedom of the water. I had
the hardest time staying in a straight path doing backstroke. I would swim
a lot more now if I had access to a pool with no one in it to get in my
way. I've heard fat floats, so that would explain your sinking sensation.
Kelly will enlighten us all on this. If you keep doing those smooth strokes
in your black shorts you'll be on top in no time, regardless of your bulk.
Fourteen laps sounds like a heck of a good start! With your determination,
I know you will come out the winner.
