Goalball is like my existence. I've tried beep baseball once or twice. I've
watched several games though. It looks like lots of fun!!
I'm close to Philadelphia in Glassboro.. by quite a bit. Where are you from?
With who did you play goalball? Do you play beep baseball?

Nick
My major is sociology with, presently, a Spanish minor but one or both may
be changing... we'll see. Today in the great Glassboro New Jersey I am
hoping the expected rain turns to snow for tomorrow =). Me and geography
don't work out really at all.
I've had so many great (and terrible) goalball moments! One of my favorites
was at nationals last year. We were playing Chaos... and we were up one zero
at the end of the game, and the round robin. Their coach called a time out
with mere seconds left. Just enough time for Asya to get in one more throw.
At the end of the time out we all are bracing ourselves. She nails a
beautiful line ball right down my wing and I blocked it out with my feet as
the buzzer went off. It couldn't have been a more perfect instant.
One of my most amusing was actually also at nationals last year. My
teammates and I were on the defense and our center, Lisa Banta, blocked the
ball. It popped over her and instead of the usual "Lose" she says "uh oh" so
my other wing, Shelley, and I dove into the goal in center, colliding. We
both are laying there in a pile and the ball had landed right next to our
center and she picks it up and throws... turning around to see if we're both
okay as we lay in like a heap in the middle of the goal. =). Hahahhaa Any
favorite court moments?
Off to teach a goalball demo to the Physical Education majors this morning!
(eek! Public speaking!). I do it ever semester and even though it's like my
whole life I still get nervous. Go figure.

Danielle,
Well it's refreshing to hear that I'm not the only one that has "goalball
OCD". J "In Kalamazoo, Utah scored 48 goals, of which 25 came from yours
truly.". "However, we aloud 46". This = lots of close games. Oh yes, I could
go on. Don't make me pull out stats from the 03 NJ tourney. In your career,
what has been some of your greatest moments? I don't mean to go all personal
on a public forum so. Anyone feel free to answer according to your
respective sport.
Oh, we practice every Friday here at Utah State. There are Saturday
practices in Salt Lake, but it's kind of hard to get down there. It's like
an hour and a half, with not a lot of transportation possibilities.
Nick
PS. Keep the snow, give me geography. What's your major?
