I have discussed soccer a number of times on this list. I heard of beep
soccer too but not sure who to contact.

Daniele,

I know in the past PA has been were efforts have been made to make it
happen. I'd love to see it as a clinic somewhere so that people could try it
and be introduced to the sport. I believe the goalie is to have some usable
vision, which I don't necessarily agree with, but I've never played either.
I sure know in playing with the kids when I'm goalie, my goalball skills
have come in handy.

I'd be interested to know what kind of ball they use. For recreational
purposes I just place a plastic crinkley sack around a soccer ball. The one
beeping soccer ball that I used, I was not impressed by because there was
only one hole for the sound to be ommitted from thus when the ball rolled
over the spot the sound was muffled or non existent and it interfered with
tracking.

I'm sure there could be a good mechanics/skills content to it in learning
how to kick, etc, dribbling, stopping, etc.

Lori
