[Sportsandrec] sports equipment

Jody,

I think it is great that you have tried a variety of martial arts.

And, I'm glad to hear of another barrel racer. I know of a young girl in TX
and it is always good to hear of others. If you are not already in contact
with her, may I share your contact info with her?

When I showed English Equitation in open 4H shows, I went without a headset
at first, but found that there were times that having info was useful so we
had headsets where the instructor could talk to me but not give coaching and
I could not speak to her.

For dressage, we used what we called, Living Letters. A person stands at
each of the nine letters and calls out the letter name. For practice I often
only rode with one living letter X in the middle and based the patterns off
of the letter in the middle. I believe a blind rider had been designing an
electronic version to eliminate the need for nine people to train and show,
but I'm not sure what ever happened with it.

Lori
