Tonia,
In spinning, you change speed and rhythm based on music pace or instruction.
Its accessible to do this because there are no screens on spin bikes to set
up.

You change tension by turning a wheel found in the center of the bike and
you feel in the pedals how much resistance you have. You can simulate hills
if you want by standing up. Simulating downhill is done by sitting and
decreasing the tension and speed of pedaling.
The settings you input are before beginning to adjust the bike to your
height. Someone can help you withthat.
If you try spinning its a long time, usually an hour. So pace yourself so
you are not burned out and have a full water bottle handy since you'll need
it.
