Another option is JUDO!
Judo is great for close quarters self defense, and the reality of being attacked as a visually impaired person is that you are probably not going to get hit, but rather grabbed.

Good Point, Jody. That is why practice is important. The instructor of the
course who uses the book emphasizes the need to practice these techniques
with someone, such as a martial arts instructor. It also mentions this point
later on in the book.
