Visually Impaired World Championships Day 2 Results 
 
(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - Three members of the Team USA competed at the
International Blind Sports Association World Championships in Antalya,
Turkey on Friday, but none advanced to the medal rounds.  

 

Beijing Paralympian Jordan Mouton (Houston, Texas / Diamondback Judo) had a
difficult draw in the 63kg division with three of the four eventual
medalists coming from her side of the bracket.  In the first round, Mouton
fought Daniele Silva (BRA).  Mouton looked strong in the first two minutes
until Silva caught her in an armbar. Silva advanced through to the
semifinals en route to winning her bronze medal and carried Mouton through
to a repechage match against Dalidaivis Rodriguez (CUB)... more
