Subject: [USA-GOALBALL] Nationals 2010 Schedule.
Hey Everyone,
Greg asked me to forward this to everyone who was registered or who would be
interested in the Nationals Schedule. Please forward this to anyone else I
may have forgotten. BSO will be sending out this information, plus their
own information packet as well to everyone who registered. I know alot of
the teams will have one last practice before Nationals and wanted to give
you a chance to prepare for your opponents. To get this info out to you
fast as possible, so no one make a stab with a singing video about where is
the schedule is for Nationals etc. :) Please again Send the nationals
Schedule to everyone who might be interested. Bill Teale and I are working
out the details to have both gyms broadcasted. So tell friends and family
to tune in. i'm Sure Bill will be sending an email soon about the
broadcast.

GENERAL INFORMATION
ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE THREE PLAYERS IN-ORDER TO BE CLASSIFIED AS A TEAM.
Pa Goalball Group / BSO have given players to two teams that were in need of
players after they registered. Due to their players backing out and not
being able to commit to their teams. Bernard Taylor will be playing for
Arizona Sting and John Anderson and Portfi Nguysen will be playing for
Augusta Vipers.
1. Women's Division - 1 Pool 4 Team Double Round Robin Play. 1 Pool
Player Award to BSO women Jordan Walter from Colorado
2. Men's Division 2- 1-5 and 1-6 Team Round Robin Pools. Top 4 teams in
each pool advance to cross-bracket single elimination. After cross-bracket
play; top four teams advance to medal round. I pool player James Isaac
Smith from Texas will go to Arizona Sting.
3. Round Robin Play will be seven minute halves. Quarter-final, Semi-finals
and finals will be 10 minute halves.
4. Rules: all IBSA and USABA rules will be followed with slight
modifications of 7 minute halves due to time limitations.
4. Teams will receive 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 for a
loss.
5. Ties in Round Robin for top four teams, by head to head score; then goal
differential.
6. We will utilize two gyms, Gym 1 and Gym 2
7. All coin tosses will take place at the score table, during half time of
the game prior to your scheduled game. If, a game ends, due to the Mercy
Rule, (exception the first half will be played to the end) the coin toss
will be done by the referee and your game will start within ten minutes.
The coin toss for the games after lunch will take place at half time of the
last game before the lunch break. If there is a delay in the schedule the
referee will advise all teams of any changes.
8. Eye patching will be done only if requested at the coin toss. The team
Requesting eye patching must provide USABA approved patches. All eye
patches must be properly disposed of. Please do not throw them on the
floor or under your team bench.
9. No food or drinks are allowed in gyms (WATER, SPORT DRINKS ONLY)
10 NO BLACK SOLED SHOES, HARD PLASTIC OR METAL KNEE/ELBOW PADS ARE ALLOWED
TO BE WORN IN ANY OF THE THREE GYMS.
11. ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR USABA/IBSA EYESHADE OR BLACKEN SKI GOGGLES. NO
SLEEP SHADES
