[Sportsandrec] exercise ideas?

I'll try to describe it and if someone can do it better... When you get on,
you step into a left track and a right one. The are about shoulder width
apart and they are probably 2 feet, (not good with length estimation) long.
You keep your toes close to the upper end of the machine, near to where the
handle bars are. When you pump, like riding a bike, the movement is similar
but you do not sit on anything. You can make it go faster and slower and you
can increase the tension as well as pushing a button that will make it have
varying degrees of incline. Actually, there are several places to push for
the incline and we just have them marked with a dot. It has hand holds which
you hold with your hands in a more vertical position and you can pull them
back and forth along with the pumping of your legs. This is something I like
because I like to be able to have my arms get some kind of work out. Ours
has some programs but I find them to be worthless. The things I have marked
are just the incline spots and the tension. I increase the tension as I work
out and then bring it back down again to cool down. I wish it got a little
more difficult but if I go faster, then I can get a work out.
Hope that helps!

I'm not familiar with that machine. How does it work? Do you sit or
stand and how fast are the leg/foot movements?

Thanks!
