[Sportsandrec] opinions and advice needed

Ricky,
are you the president of
TNAB? I see your phone number and email are listed. Do you mind if I contact
you off list to discuss sports adaptations? I might also ask the nfb
chapters around here and if there is enough interest we could start a
chapter of usaba. As the NFB members do not strike me as athletes and do not
have an interest there, I suspect it will not go anywhere, but worth asking.
I'm curious to know how you all stay active. With getting blind people
together you deal with logistics like transportation, finding facilities to
host the events, etc. So how do members get to your events and how do you
all fund such activities? I mean all these wonderful activities cost money.
Also I love your idea of reaching out to PE teachers because too many of
them have no clue how
to assist a blind student in their class!
Many of them probably do not mean to be non inclusive but have no clue what
to do.

Ashley

For all of the equipment questions I would check with the USABA and see if
they have information they might give you.
