[Sportsandrec] Running Independently Outdoors: Need Creative Ideas!

To Tai and All,

I was totally going to suggest Tai buy a jogging stroller to run. They
are great jogging instruments. But, the whole remaining vision plays a
factor.

As for different cane tips: I've seen wheels, baseball sized tips that
roll side to side, the marshmallow kinds, etc. The wheeled one might
work for pushing forward but not so great for forward and side to
side. Although, conceivably, you really only need to shoreline the
edge. Chances are there will not be too many obstacles in front to
bump into ... but you never know.

I've seen baseball sized rollers, but one, they didn't roll forward,
and two, none of the uniquely shaped tips fit the NfB cane so you'd
have to get another cane. I recommend the graphite Revolution canes.
They are the second lightest in my opinion to the NfB canes.

Tai, please let us know what works.

The whole problem with the cane, in my opinion, is that you cannot get
good running form with a cane in one hand. I'd still try and see if
you could find a running guide. Runners are nutty people, hehe, and
they run at all times.
