Subject: [Sportsandrec] Cooking on New Stoves

Hi, all,

Here's a head scratcher for you.

Two sets of my relatives have recently purchased new stoves. Both of the
stoves are fully digital, eletric, touch-screen stoves, and the cooking
preferences are saved over from the last time the stove was used. This last
feature is the problem for me.

Depending upon what the last settings were, the exact locations of the
buttons and the numbers associated with the specific settings all change.

I assumed this wasn't a common issue, but when I looked around at other
stoves being released, it seems to have permeated the cooking world. The
only stoves I found which didn't follow this template were extremely low-end
stoves that I wouldn't want to cook on, anyway.

Do we know of any safe countermeasures for this problem?

Thanks,
Justin
