[Sportsandrec] A question for you all

Hi,

I will still be going, it's held in a different country each year and
this time it's in the Czech republic, I've never been there before so I
think the cultural experience will be very good if nothing else. It's
very frustrating and disappointing that the organisers don't see why
what they're doing is wrong. They got back to one of the participants
saying that blind people couldn't do the activity, which is poor
planning on their part seeing as it is a camp for people with varying
levels of visual impairment. I will be raising the issue when I get
there as well as the emails I have already sent.

Audrey, I've been following the convention online and thought the range
of activities on offer is really cool. Yes, self-defence is definitely
accessible! So I don't understand why they are refusing to acknowledge
this fact. I am bothered that they didn't make it clear that we would be
separated according to our vision. This isn't the case for all
activities but certainly for a fair few. It would have influenced my
decision to go had I known that. It's not on their website and it was
only because two participants were choosing activities together that we
found out.
