[Sportsandrec] SPORTS WITH SMALL AUDIBLE BALLS?

I remember we discussed table tennis on this list before. Yep Mike, rolling
the ball across the table to hit itis the way to go, this has
been played like this in Japan since 1933. Still a bit confused about table
tennis because I am confused, they call it sound table tennis but not sure
why in Japan and probably other parts of the Far East there seems to be
through-net and floor table tennis, maybe something in the translation to
English while in Southeast Asia the rules seem different though not sure,
seems too technically complicated. There are ways to build channels around
the table and make the net highr but maybe I'll have a ball fitted with
three instead of five ball bearings so it can bounce just fo rfun or get one
of the rattle balls from a toy store or something and in Malaysia for
example the fact that the ball does not bounce and go through the ari seems
to make it problematic for the Paralympic body there to recognise it.

APH actually carries accessible table tennis balls too. They have
something inside that rattles a lot. At least for me, we had to
roll it across the table instead of the bouncing if I was ever going
to hit the ball.
