Someone asked about cane tips. The answer was in regards to some good  tips
as in ideas. Grate tips. 

As for actuall tips on the end of the cane, I have never run with a  cane
only to catch a bus. Any how. I have seen a big round tip  that looks about
the size of a tennis ball or so that rols back and forth and will not stab
into the bround or a crack in the path.  Also, I have a tip on my cane that
looks basically like a marshmellow that also rolls back and forth. 

 I would think for running. I would avoid any kind of standard  straight
solit tip that can stick in the ground or a crack easily  and turn your cane
into a pole valting pole.
