It was once inhabited by the Calusa Indians. Don't know any of them personally. They are all now dead. I do know some of the children and grandchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren of the first settlers. I have only been here for 27 years and am now 77.

cultures? , "discovery" of certain land masses.
Nonetheless, I find knowledge of this island, of which I had no idea
