[Sportsandrec] Race fuel

I think it is very individual but in marathons, I like gu Rocktaine gel especially during the last half. I take fuel 30 minutes after the first 45 minutes. I also like sports beans. Chews are good too. I think it just depends on what works for you. The only recommendation of things to avoid is something you have not trained with. If it has worked ok on a long run it is probably safe. 

Some people are fans of pain relievers like Ib profin during a race. I tend to think this is a bad idea.
