[Sportsandrec] [Portlander] Fitness in Maryland

Cindy,

Anyone's fitness journey is just that--a journey. I am overweight and Joe just got me going to CrossFit. I scale everything. I can't do pull ups, so I do ring rows. I surely can't do Bulgarian Split Squats, so I do lunges (which I still can't do well!). I'm working toward doing regular back squats. I can only use the bar for front squats and overhead squats, and only just started doing that! I used a PVC pipe bar at first! I've been going for a month and already seeing improvement, but I have a looooonnngg way to go to be even remotely good. And that's okay. I'm up and moving and putting on muscle and losing fat. The coaches are patient and supportive. Find a fitness you like and go for it!
