[SportsandRec] We Need More Sports And Recreation Resources

Hello everyone,

	One thing this division could undertake is a project to create a
database listing of known organizations and agencies that provide sports and
recreation opportunities for the blind throughout the country. Whether we're
talking about cycling, golf, or other sports and recreation activities blind
people with to try there needs to be one place where blind people can
research groups and opportunities in their home areas. It's called
networking! This division would provide a wonderful service to the blind
community if they would undertake the creation of such a resource. Happy

First of all, I also have a boyfriend who is named Patrick. As for the
cycling club, as far as I know, there isn't a blind cycling club. I think
this list is the closest that you'll find. That doesn't mean that you can't
create one. Also, you don't have to take my word either. Check out
Www.NFB.net<http://Www.NFB.net>
There are all of the NFB mailing lists there. It never hurts to explore it
to look for groups of interest. They occationally add new mailing lists out
there.


Ass the result of attending school, I have discovered that Writing is one of
my gifts. On the other hand, I have eighth grade spelling. Because of my
eighth grade spelling, I'm currently working on improving my spelling where
it is possible.
