[SportsandRec] horseback riding

When I did riding at camps, I had guides.
So I'm not sure how they could train you to ride the horse in lessons and 
steer the horse right as that seems visual.
My guide walked or rode another horse beside me.

I like Jessica's idea of speakers though!

I have not done lots of formal lessons but I have ridden a ton. When I am
riding I ride behind someone to serve as a guide. They can pass along
information to me. when I have ridden in a ring I have found strategically
placed speakers helpful in keeping my orientation. I personally like to
ride English style as I feel that I get better feedback from both the
saddle and reigns that way.
