[SportsandRec] Accessible Golf Simulators

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm curious to know if anyone has used or attempted to use a golf
simulator. Many golf stores and other golf businesses now have these
machines. They allow a golfer to play a course without actually being on the
course itself. Imagine playing Augusta National without leaving your home
town? Among other aspects of golf these systems can make that possible. They
can also recreate driving ranges, short game areas and of course putting
greens. Trackman is the big dog in the World of golf simulators. They're
always mentioned during tv broadcasts of golf tournaments especially on The
Golf Channel.

There doesn't seem to be a place for blind golfers to discuss
playing golf as a blind person, but I know for a fact that the game has been
played by blind people in the U.S. and abroad for many years. The sad part
is that many of us growing up in the 1960s and 1970s were never given a
chance to be introduced to golf in a big way. Assuming golf simulators can
be made to be accessible to blind golfers these could help to right this
terrible wrong by allowing would-be blind golfers to learn how to play the
game on these systems. I plan to visit www.trackman.com and look at their
documentation to at least get some idea of what type of audio feedback the
simulator gives a player. We have a PGA Tour Superstore near by that has
several golf simulators one can rent for 30 or 60 minutes giving me an
opportunity to get hands-on experience to determine how doable by blind
golfers these simulators may make possible. I also intent to create an
e-mail list to discuss all things playing golf as a blind person. Wouldn't
it be awesome if one of ujs dawns a green jacket at Augusta National joining
the ranks of many golf greats?! All the best.

Hello, all,
I am interested in purchasing an electric stove with an accessible app. Has
anyone had any experience with this?
Thank you in advance for any information you can send.
