Hello all,
I am someone with low vision who wants to be more active but have not yet
found a walking/jogging guide to do something basic like that with.
I'm seeking accessible resources to do more on my own.
I do exercise a little at home by dancing, doing jumping jacks and other
body moves but desire some structured motivating workouts.
Sometimes a family member helps me go to a public gym where I can use the
bikes, treadmills or other cardio equipment which is nice to do.
I know we discussed this a little before but cannot remember what we all
said and I know new things are coming out all the time.
What videos are there with workouts which are audio described?
There are tons of workouts out there whether its on a dvd or Youtube, but
few seem accessible.
Can anyone suggest an audio cd or audio file download which has accessible
workouts?
I'm seeking something cardio related as well as something with basic
strength moves.
So far, I am aware of videos on Youtube called Blind Alive. But did not find
many; I think there is only a few cardio ones.
I also know that one of the Association of Blind athletes has live and
recorded workouts; the live ones are on zoom and its recorded and put on
Youtube.
I cannot remember who exactly puts those out but it will come to me soon.
So any ideas? Let me know.
Also, some recreation centers and even commercial gyms now put out both live
instructor lead video classes and recorded classes. I'm wondering if anyone
found success following any of those.
Thanks,
Ashley
