Actually it's a "he." He's a self described pessimist, probably one of those
people whose obsessed with "impending Armageddon" of some kind. Some people
just can't stop thinking about how the world is going to meet its bitter
end. 

A lot of them are in the news media ... Ok, I'll stop.

Ironic, since in a sense becoming blind was the equillivent of dying in her
first book. Will they turn this one into a movie too? *shutters* I wonder,
what kind of thoughts go through her mind to make her write such storries.
Granted, the idea of people living forever is a childhood dream we hear of
all the time. "Why did Mommy have to die?" "My Daddy's so strong, he'll live
forever!"
