Great work.

Here in Lansing, MI we had a property tax item on the ballot and it also
passed.  I guess people are recognizing the value of transit with the high
gas prices.  I am sure, your hard work was a big factor in the success.

I'm writing to share some amazing news.

Our sales tax proposals necessary to the continuance and improvement of
fixed-route and paratransit in Lawrence Kansas passed, and passed handily!

it was about 70% to 30%.  this is a most unusual margin of victory for any
tax proposal, but this year especially.  so, we have guaranteed funding for
transit for ten years now.

wanted to share this very happy news.
