There is quite a bit about her on line as well. She also had a friend
who used to take her everywhere with him and show her things. So did
Helen Keller for that matter. Somehow these early childhood friends
don't seem to get a word in despite the fact that they probably paved
the way for further learning. In fact Helen Keller had learnt several
home made signs before Anne Sullivan got to her. Since I'm writing
about deaf blindness I did quite a bit of research on Helen Keller and
Laura Bradman plus any other deafblind person I could come across.
Unfortunately there has not been too many. Either they are not
highlighted so much or at all. There seem VERY few adult deafblind who
achieve that have been deafblind since early child hood. They usually
born deaf/hard of hearing, blind/partially sighted or fully hearing
and sighted and lose the rest later on.

Helene.
