Here is a list of ideas given to a writing class:

1.   Rewrite a fairy tale, basing part of it on your life.

2.   Write down three traumatic incidents in your life, and write a story 
about one of them.

3.   Take a story you've already written, and turn it into a screenplay

4.   What is the theme of your life?   Write a short essay on the subject.   
Then invent a fictional character with that same theme, and put him into 
difficult circumstances.
