I knew "absolutely" had to be on this list!  I count them on every newsman's 
list of vocabulary, on the lips of all QVC host's list of selling words, on 
the lips of all ministers, on every murder mystery vocabulary choice list 
and used by all English speakers.  It is absurd!

I happen to adore adverbs!  However, when editing, I head first for 
unnecessary adverbs.  I remember classroom lessons which emphasized the 
importance of strong subjects and predicates.
