dear Listers,
I wanted to share an experience. my mother isn't very technical. I
sent her as a file attachment the story I submitted for the division
contest, of course with instructions to delete it once she had read it.
she called this past weekend because she couldn't open the attached
file, but wanted to read my story. she asked me to read it to
her. I don't have it in braille, don't have an embosser attached to
this computer.
so to read it I had to go through it with jaws and repeat it to
her. not the best way to read a story. going through it that way
did identify for me a couple of errors I should have corrected before
I was done with it. it has five occurrances of "duffelbag" but one
of them is "duffel [space] bag." reading it that way I also noticed
I had a little to much of sentences beginning with "and," a habit of mine.

it was also remarkably tiring to read this3000-word story that way.
and, Tami, look down at my sig if you haven't noticed!
