Hey you guy, thought I'd share a poem with you. It is written by Allison,
she lives in Omaha. (I could follow this one)
LITTLE CRICKET
(Dedicated to Cid from the 2009 Project Independent Group)
A tiny bug with a sweet chirping sound,
Jumps through the grass and bushes each day,
It cannot fly but stays near the ground,
Rubbing its wings making music and with questions it says:
"Who What When where how?
"Caution, careful, What was that?
"Can I.? will I.? how far?
"is it.? Now?"
It finds a leaf and pulls it along,
Stopping to rest along the way,
It sees a shadow and slows and softens its song,
And once again it will say:
"Who What When where how?
"Caution, careful, What was that?
"Can I.? will I.? how far?
"is it.? Now?"
Nibbling on its food and storing as it goes,
Asking questions of safety and curiosity,
It sings its song because it wants to know,
And once again his wings play and chirping voice sings:
"Who What When where how?
"Caution, careful, What was that?
"Can I.? will I.? how far?
"is it.? Now?"
