[stylist] Thought Provoker About Love

Well, no, I can't detect people's true emotions that way, though I don't
doubt it can be done. Adrenalin, after all, causes chemical reactions in the
body and animals can smell fear in people.
As for blind peoples' since of smell being better, I think we just
use them more to our advantage. Funny story, I was shopping today with a
friend of mine, and wanted some whole-bean coffee. I smelled it as we walked
past and said "Hadn't we better grab the coffee?" My sighted friend stopped,
looked around for a couple minutes, and finally went right to where I'd
smelled the coffee. Because she missed it at first she had to backtrack.
Were I not following her I would have found it faster.

Angela:

This is a good time for me to ask: Are blind people's sense of smell
generally better? I have often wondered about this, since the blind would
probably rely on the sense of hearing--but is it to such a degree they don't
really cultivate their sense of smell?

But for my part, absolutely, people's smells are a dead giveaway of their
emotions. Different emotions trigger different chemicals in the body and so
the body gives off different odors. Often I'd ask someone, Why are you
angry? And that person would be like, How did you know?

Do you experience the same thing?

John

John, I never considered that before. I don't mean to sound like a
smart-ass, but does it actually work?

Pat:

I know you were just contributing a question and not really looking for an
answer, but let me interject.

Yes, vision plays a huge role. In deception. All sadists have deep
beautiful eyes. Sound plays a similar role, as all the serial killers have
syrupy voices that reel you in with silken threads.

What blows their disguises are the way they smell. Different emotions give
off different body odors, so the key is to use your nose and find out if the
seemingly adorable person is cold-blooded or really, truly likes you!

John

Does vision play an important role in the drama called love?
