Barbara, I hear you. My dad can't keep directions right. Sometimes he says
it right and sometimes he doesn't. Then he wonders why sometimes I don't
follow his directions accurately!

And some people can make us that way.  My parents used to be janitors at a
church and we children would help clean and set up and take down for events.

When I helped my mother move tables she would always tell me to go the
direction she wanted to go.  Hence, if she said go right she meant for me to
go left.  To this day, when someone tells me which direction to go I
hesitate because I'm not really sure what they mean.
