[stylist] does anyone

The condition which caused my blindness is genetic, but I had to have both
parents dominate in it and even then the chances were slim. I guess I just
got lucky.

In many cases during the twentieth century, children became blind because
they were given too much oxygen in the incubator.  There was nothing
hereditary about it.  I also know of people who are blind because of a
genetic illness.  Other people contract diseases that have nothing to do
with heredity.  Judith
