OK, I got the message from the filtering system, and after a good wrestle
with the audio captia got this message:
 
Your request has been sent. If cthls at earthlink.net chooses to allow email
from your address, the message(s) that have been intercepted will be
delivered immediately, and any future message(s) will be delivered without
delay. 

Does Tom use outlook? If so he can make a message rule that says if the
sender puts "Writing contest submission" in the subject line or something
like that it goes through. He might be able to do the same with his
earthlink spam blocker as well.
