They do rely over much on one sense. Since the world is designed around the
sighted, this does not usually become a problem. However, they many times
miss out on other important clues, and are absolutely amazed when you no
things, or can hear or sense things that they can not. They don't many
times understand how the same clues are available to them to use, yet they
do not use them. I have noticed that many times, they don't pay attention
to the things right around them. While I do not want to be blind, it is not
do to one state being better than the other. The world rewards the sighted
more; therefore; blindness has a practical disadvantage which is undeniable.
However, it is your responsibility as a blind individual to adapt, and be
rezilliant. True champions are born when one is able to get up off the
canvous and conquer their opponent. It is our responsibility to master as
many different aspects of the art of blindness as possible in order to
thrive. We should develop and use our other senses to as high a degree as
possible, and to make up the rest of the difference with knowledge and
careful planning. We can use alternative techniques to be just as effective
in most situations. In short, it is our job to be champions.
