Well, if some people object and some people don't I see the need for a
seperate list. Since the NFB don't have an off topic list, I feel one
is in order.

If ridgidly sticking to writing will kill a list but some people want
that and threaten to leave us if we don't all agree to that, the other
list would be the best way round this. That way it pleases everyone.
Yes, there is the risk of the strictly adered to list dying out but
that's their problem not ours. I just want to keep the peace.

I'll miss the off topic discussion if it's not permitted at all.
