I would leave this argument at the editing.  Tell this person that you'll 
edit using no objectionable language and according to grammer rules. 
Whatever her political leanings they have nothing to do with editing.

Well, you never lived in Nassau County.   However, the statement was not
mine, but Mary's, and Mary is the only other person in the group who could
conceivably do the editing.
