All right, here's a happier one.

COOKING IN THE WINTER
By BARBARA Hammel

I hate this global warming!
It's so hot at twenty below,
But it feels like minus forty
As the blistering winds do blow.

I hate this global warming
When the heat, in minutes will freeze,
Any skin you have exposed
To the hot and humid breeze.

I hate this global warming,
And how the steam rises so dry
That it burns inside your nostrils
And brings ice tears to your eye.

Global warming grips us tightly
>From Maine to Washington
As we shiver in this tropic
At latitude forty-one.

The heat is so oppressive
It just stifles us with cold,
And the sun shines down so brightly
You can touch the fiery white gold.

Our teeth are chattering violently
As we swelter 'bout to death.
Global warming give a reprieve
So we can catch our breath.

Snow is God's way of reminding us that beauty can be found even in the
coldest hearts.
