[stylist] Monthly telephone gathering- this coming Sunday

Remember Google Voice is another way to bypass long distance charges. There
are no long distance charges between the United States and Canada. I
believe Canada has local numbers for Google Voice. The web interface for
the service can be a little daunting, requires use of your JAWS cursor, but
once you set it up, it's easy enough to control what you need from the phone
itself. Teleconference advantages aside, it's just a good way to tie your
various phone numbers to one location or maintain a general number without
necessarily giving away your real number.

A suggestion that has worked with a few groups I'm in...if anyone who
is going to be in on the conversation has free long-distance for
Canada (some plans include Canada and Mexico) and has
three-way/conference calling, they can call in on the chat, then call
Neil, there will be no charges on Neil's phone bill, but he can
participate as if he called in for himself.

On that note, if anyone does have conference calling, I would be
grateful for a three-way into the chat. I don't have free
long-distance; I have a more basic plan, which is all I can afford at
this time, but it has a minute-by-minute charge. So, if anyone can do
the three-way with me, give me a buzz via e-mail and I'll pass my
phone number on to you.
