[stylist] Voting for Pepsi- For our Youth SLAM Grant

Hello Donna and everyone,

For us this voting process has been more trouble than it's worth. Our
cell phones do not have a screen reader, we don't do social networks, and we
refuse to deal with captchas for any part of the process. While we would
like to see the Youth SLAM funded by Pepsi we don't believe it's worth
compromising our positions on Web accessibility and tossing politics aside
for $250,000.00. We have demonstrated to ourselves that we're capable of
raising many times that amount without shutting anyone out of the process
particularly those with hearing impairments. Just thought I would weigh in
on the subject.

Robert,
I don't text, so I was happy to see these other options. I don't know if
my votes took or not, however. The log in with Facebook had a curious
blurb suggesting that if I did use it, I would be agreeing that I had
read the terms of the contest. I linked to it and it was quite long, and
appeared to be for people who want a grant. I didn't have time to read
the whole thing, but I wonder if you are giving them permission to
advertise on your Facebook page? Anyway, I chose the option to log in
with Pepsi, Since I didn't have a password I left that radio button
checked, but didn't receive a standard form for establishing a new
password -- you know, the kind where you enter it twice. BTW, I made
the mistake of refusing a third-party tracking cookie using IE8 and
although I managed to get the audio captcha correct -- it was one of the
old garbled ones -- I still couldn't complete the process. I ended up
using Firefox, but still didn't get a chance to establish a password
with Pepsi, so who knows what happened to my vote.

I wonder if others are having similar problems, or do you all have cell
phones?
