Dear Writers’ Division and STYLIST Members

RE: Word Puzzles for December, joining us we have a Puzzle Master from the National Puzzlers League

With the canceling of our technical writing person, Jim Canaday suggested we play word games. And so to help us with this, I made some inquiries and through the National Puzzlers League we have a puzzle master joining us on the call. Interesting enough, Alan Stillson is also a published author! Below is a short biographical sketch provided to us from Alan and immediately following are samples of puzzles that Alan will challenged us with.

My name is Alan Stillson and I’m responding to your request for a member of National Puzzlers League to help you with a conference call on Sunday Dec. 26th. I’m the author or co-author of nine puzzle books (please see http://stillsonworks.com for details) and have done several radio and television interviews over the years. Many of my puzzles are short brainteasers and would be perfect for NFB members. I’d be happy to send you some samples of puzzles that are designed to be solved without seeing or writing.

Thank you for thinking of NPL.
