Congratulations to all the winners and I cannot wait to read  these winning 
pieces.
Also I am so honored to have earned an Honorable Mention for  Legend. It's 
a piece that has come to mean even more to me over the past few  weeks.  
Writing is my passion and my escape so I would do it no matter..  but being 
recognized is, as my mom used to say, 'the little extra spice in an  already 
good jambalaya'.  This means so much to me and it helps during  a very sad 
time in my family's life.
