Want to sell your books by the truckload? Matthew Bennett has sold over 5 million books, mostly through huge quantity sales to large corporations who use them as premiums. He's had single orders as large as a million copies and even better, makes a nice profit on each book before the first copy is even printed! Matthew is a faculty member in our upcoming Quantum Leap Publicity & Marketing Program and he'll be teaching his method in depth at our first group meeting. Check out this special audio interview with Matthew which previews what he'll be sharing at the Quantum Leap meeting.

"I need good color," a magazine writer friend recently told me, "and not a lot of sources know how to give it to me." What is color and how can you give it to the media? "Color" is the journalistic term for a vignette that opens the article. It can be one sentence, several sentences, or a few paragraphs. Color can be an inspirational story from a subject's childhood, an experience with one of their clients, or something as simple as an interesting knick knack that sits on a desk and has enormous meaning to someone. Now, a journalist won't come out and ask you for color. But if you prepare and provide some, you can turn a good interview into a great one.

My son did great in his cross country meet yesterday and ran his best time this season.

I am looking to interview marketers and business strategists for my church marketing membership site. Each month I interview an expert and make the phone call available on the web. The content will be evergreen (continual) because all the content is released on a monthly basis--based on when the consumer becomes a member. So your website (or what ever else you want to drive people to) will always get traffic. You don't have to be religious to reply; however, it would be good if you had some kind of spiritual experience since this is a site that teaches people how to market their ministry.

Deadline: Sat, Nov 06, 2010 - 05:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

I am looking for experts to discuss why it is taboo to tell fat people they are fat and for people to admit that they do not like to look at fat people or be around them. Isn't this similar to smoking? America is fatter than ever and getting bigger. Maura Kelly from MarieClaire online wrote an article saying that she felt it was disgusting to watch fat people make out and Sharon Osbourne on The Talk chided her so badly that the article was taken down. Sharon has had weight loss surgery herself. Is it ok to not want to watch or be around fat people just as many people choose to not want to be around or look at smokers? Why is it not ok to point out to fat people that they have a problem? Why do fat people not want anyone to talk about the obvious? Obesity is a major issue in this country so I want to have a discussion on the politics of fat and also the psyche of people who believe in the continual enabling of food addiction. Is Sharon Osbourne the face of a fat enabler? Why did she not suggest to the actor who plays Mike on Mike & Molly when he appeared on her show that he might want to consider losing weight for his health just like she did?

I need to interview a fitness/nutrition expert who can provide quotes regarding the importance of eating well when working toward improving or maintaining fitness. In particular, I am looking at the importance of children eating well as part of an overall family fitness plan. The story will also touch on Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign and Jamie Oliver's attempts to improve school lunches. Because Military Spouse is a niche publication geared specifically for military families, it would be great if the source had ties to the military in some way, i.e., prior military service or works in a military fitness facility on base or medical center. My deadline is Monday, Nov. 8, so I need to speak with someone in the next couple of days.
