[stylist] Any writing book recommendations?

A little off the subject but Louis L'amour's "Education of a Wondering Man" is an interesting book for writers to read.  The author discusses some of his experiences before he became a writer and how he struggled before becoming successful.  He suggests voracious, wide ranging reading and gives a list of the books he read over a ten-year period.
