You might say, that with last months special guest, Mark Taylor (who talked
to us about his publishing business Candle Shore Publishing), and now with
Justin Oldham (who will be also sharing with us concerning his publishing
company Shadow Fusion Books,)that we are looking within the Division to find
immediate and future publishing resources. (Anyone else out there?)

Below is Justin's BIO. On the 28th, we will get to hear about his up and
coming publishing company, and I know that he will be very open to share
what he has learned about marketing our work, to any publisher.

In addition, Justin will tell us about his 3 websites and political talk
show. 

Justin Oldham is a legally blind author who lives with his wife in
Anchorage, Alaska.  His works include Fiction and Non-Fiction.  He holds
Bachelor Degrees in History and Political Science from the University of
Alaska.

He started Shadow Fusion Books in 2010 with the long term goal of becoming a
publisher.  Mr. Oldham maintains three web sites that e uses to promote
himself and his business.  These are described as follows:

1.  Author's web site

Justin uses www.justin-oldham.com <http://www.justin-oldham.com/>  to
represent himself as a writer.  This multi-layered web site has samples of
his published work, which includes a small number of short stories.  Each
major page on the site is equipped with an audio introduction that explains
what's on the page.  A click of the mouse allows the user to hear each mp3
recording through their favorite playback device.

Most of the book excerpts have audio commentaries associated with them,
which can be found on each major page.  The goal is to provide a multi-media
experience in both readable print and hearable audio.  These commentaries
represent the author's personal opinions.

2.  The Politics and Patriotism Show

Justin hosts a political talk show in a half hour podcast format that can be
found at www.politicsandpatriotism.com
<http://www.politicsandpatriotism.com/>  through your favorite web browser.
The site includes a link to a regularly updated blog that features
contributor essays listener comments.  Each major page on the site is
equipped with an audio introduction that explains what's on the page.  A
click of the mouse allows the user to hear each mp3 recording through their
favorite playback device.

The web site is equipped with an RSS feed, which has been submitted to half
a dozen major podcast feeds.  Additional features include links to the
author's web site and to the home page for Shadow Fusion Books.  A
contributor's page provides contact information for all the show's regular
guests.

This program routinely runs thirty minutes per episode.  It provides the
listener with a variety of political viewpoints.  A commercial for Shadow
Fusion Books runs in the middle of each episode.  This can be thought of as
a form of guerilla marketing.

3.  Company Web Site

the firm's published work.  Shadow Fusion Books presents material in both
print and electronic format.  Each major page on the site is equipped with
an audio introduction that explains what's on the page.  A click of the
mouse allows the user to hear each mp3 recording through their favorite
playback device.

The site includes a catalog of available products, and podcast that features
author interviews and commentary on the books put out by this firm.  The
podcast is called The fusion Factor.  It has an RSS feed that will soon be
uploaded to a variety of podcast directories.

Goals and Expectations

Mr. Oldham's long term goal is to create a full featured publishing company
that can serve the need of low vision writers.  Shadow Fusion Books was
started in September of 2010.  Early goals include putting Mr. Oldham's work
in to print so that the company has cash flow.  All future profits will be
used to pay for advertising and client services that will needed to support
new authors.
