[stylist] Thursday Word: mnenomic

Ashley,
No kidding. They wouldn't teach it to me, so I had to learn as an adult. I
regularly get a real jolt when I read something that has a word I thought I
knew how to spell. I actually wrote what I hope is an amusing reflection on
this phenomenon. If you want to take a look, it's :

Brad, I never knew it was spelled that way. I am constantly amazed at my own
ignorance of spelling *grin* BTW, I just realized that you are using all
caps for the accented syllable in the pronunciation guide -- there's
probably a word for that too. Anyway, that's a great idea.
